Nevada Gaming Control Board Seeks Lifetime Ban for Steve Wynn? Gambling Podcast #11

  A UK man is banned from casinos.? The main reason was his consistent winning streak. This streak covered a 16-month window of betting activity on the table game Roulette. The player’s name is Balvinder Sambhi and he has taken his cause to the local press.His total winnings over that 16-month period was 70,000 pounds. He claims that his good fortune can be attributed to a ‘no lose’ roulette system. Sambhi has been perfecting his system over an extended period of time. His big wins are based on using a specific betting pattern. His big wins also got him permanently banned from the Broadway Casino, Five Ways. He has been a regular at the gambling venue since June of 2018. However, he has recently been informed that his membership will be revoked.Sambhi has already been banned from the Rainbow Casino in Edgbaston last year. Going back to 2009, he was banned from the Grosvenor Casino. The reason for each ban was consistent wins. None of the three casinos were willing to comment on the situation. Since June of last year, Sambhi mentioned that he had 320 winning days and just 19 losing ones.In The next story, Nevada Gaming Control Board Seeks Lifetime Ban for Steve Wynn.Former casino mogul Steve Wynn was a fixture in Las Vegas going back to the 1960’s. After the Wall Street Journal published an article detailing numerous allegations of sexual misconduct, that all changed. While Wynn continually refuted any claims of wrongdoings, he did resign his position as chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts in February of 2018. This was shortly after more and more allegations of sexual misconduct were revealed. One allegation stated that Wynn paid $7.5 million to an employee at the Wynn Las Vegas salon to settle a claim of forced sexual relations.More recently, the Nevada Gaming Control Board launched a seven-month investigation into the whole matter. The result of the investigation found:“A pattern of Mr. Wynn recklessly engaging in sexual conduct with subordinate employees. Which even if it was consensual as maintained by Mr. Wynn, is obviously to the significant power imbalance between the CEO of a major gaming company and subordinate employees.”The recommendation of these findings is a permanent ban of Mr. Wynn from any gaming operations in the state of Nevada. Wynn sold his remaining stake in Wynn Resorts in March of 2018.
