Nevada Wildfires Under Control | Las Vegas News

Governor Joe Lombardo flew over scorched landscapes north of Reno, personally thanking first responders and volunteers as Nevada grapples with the aftermath of two massive wildfires—the Bug Fire, now 94% contained, and the Stallion Fire, nearly fully under control. With crews on standby for potential flare-ups amid forecasted hot, dry, windy weather and lightning risks, the state remains vigilant. Lombardo praised the Nevada National Guard, firefighters, law enforcement, and emergency managers for their heroic efforts, while reaffirming Nevada’s commitment to long-term recovery and rebuilding support for affected communities.
