from Never Been Sicker · host Michael Rubino

Send us Fan MailToday’s guest is Haileigh, a registered nurse, independent wellness advocate, mother of three, and mold survivor. Haileigh, her husband, and their three sons suffered from mold illness for years before figuring out that it was their environment making them sick. From detoxing and the loneliness of mold exposure to dealing with Western medicine trends, she’s gone through the wringer trying to heal her family. Her determination and persistence in finding the answers are what finally led Haileigh down the path of mold. Looking back, she’s finally starting to realize exactly how much mold exposure impacted her family, particularly her young children. Using this experience, she’s continuing to focus on detoxing her family while also beginning to take steps to help others who are going through similar situations so they don’t have to experience the loneliness of mold exposure. Today’s Talk: In this episode, Michael Rubino sits down with Haileigh to discuss how much of an impact mold exposure can have on an entire family, the loneliness of mold exposure, and the difficulties of navigating the experience. As Haileigh points out, there just aren’t enough people familiar with mold and the dramatic and far-reaching effects it can have on health. Haileigh and her family moved into a new home about three years ago while she was pregnant with her third child. Over time, each of them began developing chronic issues, from strep throat and gastrointestinal issues to kidney and gallbladder problems. One of her sons went on to develop PANS/PANDAS and Haileigh experienced appendicitis that led to a combined birthing and surgery situation. As a healthy woman who exercised regularly and ensured her children were healthy as well, she couldn’t understand why her family continued to experience health problem after health problem. She took her family to a variety of doctors over the months, but no one could give her a definitive answer as to what was going on. Haileigh said that the loneliness of mold exposure was one of the worst parts. Those around her, even relatives, weren’t understanding of what they were all going through and the severity of their suffering. Luckily, they eventually discovered that it was their indoor environment that was causing the problem and that they had been living in mold all that time. Their battle didn’t stop there, though. From that moment of discovery, Haileigh and her husband would struggle to find medical professionals who could help create personal detox plans, they would lose many of their belongings to contamination, they’d experience a transition home with mold, and they’d battle insurance companies for coverage. All while trying to recover from mold exposure and find a safe place to raise their children.Thankfully, they’re now in a safe environment and are continuing to work on their health and help others who may be going through similar experiences and experiencing the loneliness of mold exposure."Don't stop. If you're not getting the answers that you need from a doctor, if they're not listening to you, and things are still happening and things aren't making sense, listen to your gut. Get uncomfortable. Be comfortable with getting uncomfortable."https://www.themichaelrubino.com/https://www.homecleanse.com/Learn more about Haileigh at:Instagram: @hpopp425https://www.doterra.com/US/en/site/poppofhealth/
