Never Forsaken

“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”Joshua 1:5Joshua stood on the threshold of an overwhelming responsibility. Moses, the great leader of Israel, was gone, and now Joshua was called to lead God’s people into the Promised Land. Humanly speaking, the task was beyond him. Yet God did not begin by reminding Joshua of his own strength or ability. Instead, He reminded him of His presence.The same God who was with Moses would also be with Joshua. God’s faithfulness had not ended with one generation. His presence would continue, and His promise was clear: “I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”While this promise was spoken specifically to Joshua, believers today can take comfort in God’s unchanging character. He has not changed. He is still faithful to those who trust Him. When we face uncertain days, difficult decisions, or burdens that seem too heavy to carry, we can move forward with confidence because the Lord goes with us.Do not measure your future by your own strength. Measure it by God’s faithfulness. The God who has brought you this far has not abandoned you now. Walk in obedience, trust His promises, and remember that His presence is greater than any obstacle before you.PrayerHeavenly Father, thank You that You are always faithful. When I feel weak or uncertain, help me to remember that You never fail nor forsake those who trust in You.
