He wrote 20 hit songs for the Johnny Van Zant band to include "Who’s Right or Wrong", "Coming Home, "Standing in the Darkness", "Love can be so Cruel", "Only the Strong Survive", "Yesterday’s Gone" and more. Robert Paul is from Jacksonville, home of Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, and Johnny Van Zant band.  He has a background that includes orchestra performance, and has learned and been trained in many styles, including Jazz, Rock, Spanish, Country.
