New Archbishop of Mosul on the future of Christianity in Iraq

A new Archbishop has been ordained in Mosul, a city 400 km north of Baghdad in Iraq that stands on the west bank of the river Tigris. Mosul is undergoing major reconstruction after the ousting of daesh militants who overran the city in 2014 bringing widespread destruction. Archbishop Nizar Semaan is a man who knows the UK well. He spent 15 years as chaplain to the Syriac Catholic community in Britain. He spoke to us just after his ordination as co-adjutor Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk and Kurdistan at the Church of the Immaculate in Qaraqosh Iraq.
