Former Coastal rail enthusiast Bill Field,of Melbourne, is about to release a book on the historic spur line colloquially known as the Nietta Line. The line ran from Ulverstone to Nietta from the 1890s to the 1950s. The official name of the line was Methanga to Nietta. Bill's book is called Methanga to Nietta: The History of the Ulverstone to Nietta Railway. He spoke to Martin Agatyn about the book, which will be launched on September 24 . . .
