New distracted driving data from State Farm

State Farm Director of Customer Experience Research Jon Wey…“So, we’ve learned a few things Fred, and chiefly that distracted driving is a challenge for all of us. I think a good many of us kind of think about the younger generation and younger drivers as being most likely to be distracted. But we are all distracted. A full 80 percent of us admit to driving in some form of distracted way fairly routinely.”Wey says reading or sending a text take 4.6 seconds on average….and a 2 second glance away from the road doubles crash risk.
