Susan grew up in New England with Irish immigrant grandparents who remembered discrimination firsthand, a father who ordered Ebony Magazine to a very white neighborhood on purpose, and a hairdresser who operated out of her living room while a neighbor came in to sell eggs during the appointment.Two completely different childhoods. Two women who turned out to have a lot more in common than you would expect.
