I don’t like Karaoke; there, I’ve said it. To me it’s a bunch of wannabes trying to live somebody else’s best life – what a waste! Be original! A trend I’m sensing in Coaching today (whether professionally, or as a manager coaching a team) is an exponential rise in the number of Karaoke Coaches – defined (by me) as those who have nothing original to contribute – those simply rehashing others’ work, others’ ideas. Great Coaches are like Great Chefs – there are no new food ingredients out there, just creative ways of combining them to produce something magical!
