New extreme heat strategy aims to shield Southern Nevada’s most vulnerable commuters

Summers in Nevada are brutal.For bus riders, the heat isn't just uncomfortable — it's dangerous. A single delayed bus can mean the difference between getting home safely and suffering heat stroke.Those risks are only expected to intensify as temperatures climb going into summer, and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada says it is taking action.
