(FEDC) has approved a funding request for improvements to the city’s swimming pool, but stopped short of approving a five-year Parks and Recreation Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Board members heard a presentation from new Parks and Recreation Director Reena Gonzalez at their June 8 meeting. Gonzalez proposed a five-year capital improvement plan for 2027-31, with projects that included improvements to the city pool and Watts Park near the American Legion Hall, A Street skate park modifications, athletic field improvements, and possibly a trail connection between Pecan Park and the Floresville El Camino Trail....
