New Hampshire Weather: 02-22-2026

from The New Hampshire Weather Podcast

Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the New Hampshire Weather Podcast for Sunday, February 22nd. Folks, a nor'easter is barreling toward us tonight. And this one means business. Right now you're sitting at a deceptively calm 33 degrees. Enjoy that while it lasts. Snow starts sweeping into southern New Hampshire around 9 P.M. By 8 A.M. Monday, we're buried. Blizzard warnings are up for Rockingham and Hillsborough counties. We're talking 8 to 12 inches of snow with gusts hitting 50 miles an hour. That's whiteout territory. The kind of storm where you lose your driveway. Down in Nashua and Manchester, tonight's lows drop to 21 degrees. Wind chill? Feels like 5. Monday's high barely crawls to 29 with snow still blowing sideways. Drive north on 93 toward Concord and Laconia. And snow arrives closer to 10 P.M. You're looking at 6 to 10 inches there. Similar cold, similar wind. Now push into the White Mountains. They catch a break, relatively speaking. Light snow after midnight, 3 to 5 inches. But Monday night drops to 15 degrees with northwest winds kicking up ground blizzards along the ridgelines. If you're heading anywhere Monday morning, don't. Seriously. And if you must, throw a blanket and a phone charger in the car. This storm bites. Now the week ahead tells a better story. Tuesday the sun comes back. Highs reach the upper 20s. Breathe. Then Wednesday a quick clipper drops another 1 to 3 inches. Nothing dramatic. Thursday and Friday bring scattered snow showers mixed with sunshine. And here's the plot twist. By Saturday, highs push into the 30s and 40s. Almost feels like progress. Tonight, fill the bathtub, charge everything. And make sure you know where the flashlights are. Power outages are a real possibility with those coastal gusts. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!
