New Hampshire Weather 3/7 Morning - Foggy Freeze Fest
from The New Hampshire Weather Podcast
Good morning. New Hampshire. I'm DJ Huzz. Step outside and you might feel like the weather is having an identity crisis. We woke up to a dusting of snow and gray skies, but don't let that fool you. We're about to see a temperature swing that'll make your head spin. Down in Southern New Hampshire, you're shaking off the fog this morning. By noon, the sun breaks through and temperatures surge to **50 degrees**—that's 16 degrees warmer than usual for early March. It's a teaser, though. Light rain rolls in after **10 P.M.**, with lows settling near **43 degrees**. Head north into Central New Hampshire. And the story is much the same. You might catch some freezing drizzle early, but that gives way to **50 degrees** this afternoon. The rain shows up around **10 P.M.** there too, cooling you to **42 degrees** overnight. Up in the White Mountains, it's a different vibe early on. A **Winter Weather Advisory** is in effect until **10 A.M.** thanks to freezing rain and fog. But even the peaks aren't immune to this warmth—you'll hit **52 degrees** this afternoon. Rain arrives tonight with lows near **41 degrees**. In Here's wild part, sunday hits **57 degrees** statewide. It's *perfect* weather for maple sugaring—sap should be running like crazy. Skiers, take note: this warmth and rain will soften the snowpack significantly. Looking ahead. Monday keeps the spring vibes going with highs in the **60s**. But enjoy it while you can. By Thursday, reality checks back in. We're talking rain and snow returning, with highs crashing back into the **40s**. If you're hitting the roads early, watch for slick spots on those untreated surfaces. Otherwise, get out there and enjoy the thaw. See you tomorrow. See you this afternoon.
