New Hampshire Weather 3/8 Midday - Clear Skies

from The New Hampshire Weather Podcast

Good afternoon. New Hampshire. I'm DJ Huzz. Step outside right now and Here comes 38 degrees under gray skies. Any leftover drizzle wraps up by 8 A.M. Then those clouds start breaking apart. And by afternoon you're basking in partly sunny skies with highs hitting 57 degrees. Southwest winds stay gentle at 5 to 10 miles an hour. That's spring-like warmth for early March, folks. Head up to the White Mountains and you'll find mostly sunny conditions all day. Temperatures peak at 58 degrees before sliding back to 52 this afternoon. Tonight brings mostly clear skies statewide with lows dropping to 32 degrees. Monday delivers even better news. Mostly sunny skies return with southern areas reaching 64 degrees. Central New Hampshire hits 65. The mountains top out at 63. South winds gust to 25 miles an hour in spots. Perfect weather for getting outside if you ask me. Here's your week ahead. Tuesday stays sunny near 65 degrees. Wednesday brings clouds and a chance of rain after 8 A.M. Thursday is when things get interesting. Rain likely before 2 P.M., then a mix of rain and snow as temperatures peak near 60 degrees. Then comes the dramatic part — a 40-degree temperature crash in 12 hours. By Thursday night. Here comes lows around 20 degrees with that rain-snow mix continuing. Friday sees mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 40s and a chance of snow late afternoon. Saturday brings another chance of rain and snow early, then clearing with highs in the mid-40s. Don't forget — clocks spring forward tonight. You lose an hour of sleep, but sunrise tomorrow comes at 7:12 A.M. and sunset at 6:44 P.M. The spring equinox is just 12 days away. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts. See you tomorrow.
