New housing and healthcare options for SE Michigan seniors

A new program aimed at helping older adults recover safely after illness, or injury, has now launched in Detroit. Volunteers of America Michigan introduced Health2Home Monday, combining medical respite beds with behavioral health services and housing support. The program serves adults 55 and older across Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Supporters say the effort could change how communities respond to housing insecurity by linking healthcare and stable housing earlier in the recovery process. Click to hear announcement.
