New ‘Italian Job’ Movie in the Works at Paramount With Paul Feig in Talks to Direct

Director Paul Feig is currently in negotiations with Paramount Pictures to lead a new installment in The Italian Job franchise. This upcoming project would serve as a sequel to the 2003 heist film, which was a massive financial success starring Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron. While the studio is still searching for a screenwriter, the new movie aims to build on a legacy that began with the 1969 original featuring Michael Caine. Although a follow-up was considered decades ago, this recent development marks the first significant progress toward continuing the action-heavy series. Feig, known for his work on Bridesmaids, is balancing this potential opportunity alongside several other high-profile film commitments. Following the news of this revival, fans are anticipating the return of the franchise's signature car chases and high-stakes robbery themes. This episode includes AI-generated content.
