Caller Questions & More: Dr. Alice discusses how to deal with people or situations that are out of our control.  My girlfriend says I haven’t forgiven myself even though I am 25yrs sober.  How do I continue a relationship with my grandchildren if their mother, my stepdaughter, doesn’t have much contact with me?  My younger sister looked so unhealthy last week that I called the police to check on her, but it didn’t go well. She is in denial; what else can I do?
