Caller Questions & More: Dr. Jim provides encouragement that you are not defined by the poor choices of your kids.  Where do I get help to overcome my daughter not speaking with me and kicking out my abusive mother after she threw things and called me a pig?  My sister died, and I’ve been struggling with my father who drinks and fell yesterday.  My son is in the hospital for kidney failure because he is an alcoholic; how can I find someone in our area that we trust to counsel him?  I’ve devoted myself to God for the last 6mos, but my fiancé has no faith and got upset at me for tithing. Do I stay with him or break up?  How do I confront my 22yo daughter who came for Thanksgiving, but I wonder if she is living in a car and is borderline?  How do I have a better relationship with my adult daughter who is verbally abusive to me?
