Caller Questions: What can I do to reach out to my 44yo son who lives close but doesn’t talk to me for months at a time?  I’m an uncle and want to have kids of my own; what’s a good balance for parents so that they’re not too authoritarian or too lenient?  Is there a discipline option we haven’t thought of for our middle son who has been lying, stealing, and smoking marijuana?  Is my next step to plant recording devices in my husband’s car because of his lying? He isn’t remorseful about his affair and blames me.
