New Mexico Sports History: The Vince Lombardi connection to Alamogordo High School

The sports history of New Mexico is entertaining and interesting. Alamogordo High School during the 50s thru the mid 70s was one of the top 3 ranked high schools in the United States. A convergence of scientist, the military, a strong business community and an appreciation for sports and education all were showcased there. That seemed to change decades later but the history and foundation is interesting and worthy of note.
