Hey everybody, it's Alex and Shannon and there's something a little different on as I said you today rather than a little new. A little new, yeah. This is called New Paragons, this is episode one. This is a scripted and voice-acted thing that a lot of us at S.

House Studio did. It was originally written to be like, I don't know what I was gonna do with the animated style animatics. So after we did some of the voice work, I decided I wanted to put it up as a podcast and then kind of changed form. So I switched it up and I added some stage direction stuff, so it sounds more like a radio drama.

Yeah, it's based on your universe that you created. Yeah, well everything on a situ is. You know, but like this has stuff that's not necessarily in the podcast or the gaming podcast. Right.

Yeah, it's in the same universe. So it's all connected. So characters are all shared. Right.

Right. Some of the audio, when we first started, I didn't know exactly what I was doing because it was a while ago before I started playing with equipment a lot. So I made the best of what I had. So like, this is kind of a coalescence of a bunch of different stuff.

It's my first shot at it. Definitely gonna get better in the future if I continue to do these. Yeah. Yeah.

So yeah, I spent a lot of time trying to fix some of the audio and adding and sound effects and music and I don't know, I think I'm pretty proud of it. The basic gist of it is each scene jumps back and forth between the past and the present. So the present scenes happen currently and the past scenes are all 10 years ago. So it's kind of like two different stories at once.

Anything else you want to say about the format or the production of it? Oh, no, I thought it was really fun to do. Yeah. I mean, my end, I didn't do a lot of work.

Right. Shannon was the last one to record audio so her sounds the best because we knew kind of what we were doing. All right. So we hope you enjoy this.

And if you do, please, I implore you to share it, share it around because I'm pretty proud of it. It's not perfect, but it's a start. And if you want to see more, please let us know. I'm currently thinking about what will happen in episode two.

Probably gonna make it a bit longer, more involved. I'm also writing stuff for other characters. So if there's another character you want, even just like a short like one-shot story you told about, I mean, why not, right? Right.

And push Alex to animate some of it. Well, okay. I know it takes forever, but maybe if you have people bugging you about it. Right.

Okay. So yeah, if we get enough listeners that actually listen and people that bug me about it, I will actually start animating things. But right now that's not the point where anyway, but we all want it. Well, you know, you you alone.

All right. So yeah, I really hope you enjoy it. And so here's the first episode of scripted content. I hope you enjoy new paragons.

I think we're going to call it unions. I hope you enjoy. And here you go. Part one now, made into an interior, a large dark and dusty meeting hall and an enclosed base, the place a secret society would need.

The abandoned underground bunker have a long forgotten super team. The metal sliding door opens with a clank. The lights flicker struggle at home, they illuminate the room. Looks like the lights still work.

I don't know about the computer's insecurity, but they should be fine. Oh, a shorter woman, unsure of herself, mocha skin and hair and a bob. She wears a yellow and red outfit, silver and copper wire accents wrap around her shoulders and down to her hands. She walks slowly towards the wall of computer motors on the far side of the hall.

I'm pretty surprised. It's been a long time. Sad that no one has been using the old base these past years. Fully functional base of operations just sitting unoccupied.

Rubber maiden follows behind her through the door. She's taller than home, but not by much. Her monochromatic outfit matches her jet black hair. The police disconnected the feeds and locked it up pretty tight.

Took a bit of doing to get the keys myself. The commissioner and I are friends so it wasn't impossible. But I don't think anybody could have just moved in. It's a bit dusty.

Much less derelict than I expected. With like, almost no work at all, this place could be humming like new. HQs like this are built to last. Home turns knobs and flip switches on the large overly complicated computer journal.

The screenspring to light. Filling with numbers and letters as the computers blew up. Looks like the old computers are still working. The computer's boot and menus fill the monitors.

One begins typing on with you. And the feed to the UH database is to a lot of operational as well. System could use an update but it's a start. You know, it is a little nice to be back.

I haven't really been to court star since I left. Been a lot of places all over the world. Nothing really felt like home. Not like here anyway.

I expected it to feel awkward returning, but it really just feels like a warm blanket. The buildings have changed, but it's still so familiar. Rubber bane leans on one of the old chairs, still sitting around the circular table. Yeah.

I'm glad you came when I called. I wasn't sure you would. Of course I would. We've been through too much together for me to screen your calls home.

Home looks away. Down to her feet and back up to Rubber Bane. It's just, we haven't talked much since the team fell apart. The way things ended, the way everyone walked away.

I felt like all those bridges were burned. I know, I'm sorry about that. I needed the time away. Time to find myself.

I joined the paragons right after getting my powers. And when we disbanded, I needed to explore. I didn't know who I was anymore. Silence falls on the room.

Both of them looking for the right thing to say. Well, we... I missed you. The city missed you.

There were times when we really could have used you, Rubber Maiden. You managed. Things are still standing. True.

So far, things are getting worse. The gangs are growing and number and strength. The other free agents are not doing a great job stopping the advance. Something bigger is coming sooner than later.

What exactly do you mean? How do you know? Dad does. He told me.

It's easier to explain what everyone is together. Ah, guiding light has a pretty reliable network. Can't he come back? He has his hands full on his own.

He said I should try to get the paragons back together. But no specifics on what's happening. Apparently there has been some chatter from his underworld connections that imply there is a movement from some criminal groups into the city. We are already seeing the tide change.

There have been a rash of hood sightings. Three kidnappings in the last month. And the museum has been attacked twice. Each time with more force and more hired guns.

I barely held them off last time. Kidnappings? I think so. But no ransom and no condition.

Just cryptic messages sent to the family members. The first was about three weeks ago. I've not been very successful picking up leads. The city needs a stable team again.

Someone to monitor the movement. We'll remain ships uncomfortably. Oh, you mean like to gather together? Not just a quick team up to help with these things?

I don't. I haven't been part of a team in a long time. Yeah. I haven't really either.

I tried to fill the roster after everyone left but things never worked out. I spent a year solo then started trying out for a few other teams here and there. It was never the same. It's hard going back to a team after being solo for so long.

Duo actually. Oh, really? With who? There is a pause.

Pause you could drive a truck through. I... I'd rather not. I see.

Sorry. Oh, and looks away again. Fighting her lip. She never knows the right thing to say.

Others never seem to find themselves in conversation with people like this, do they? No, that's fine. Who else is on the way? No one currently.

You're the only one I called so far. What? Why? I thought you were trying to get the team back together.

Rubbermaid and stans fully. Almost manned but mostly surprised. It's a better pitch coming from you. The others won't listen to Justin.

He, Rubbermaid. I'm not a strong leader. You are a founding member. You have as much pull as anyone.

I should have that much pull. But you and I both know that that is not always how it works. I only called you because you can talk to the others. From me alone.

That is not going to happen. Rubbermaid knows she's right. As much as she doesn't want to take that responsibility. She knows it's hers.

She spins one of the old chairs around and slumps down into it, giving in. Okay. So what are we doing next? Recruitment?

Riptide, maybe? No, not yet. I think it would be an easier sell to Riptide if we have a bigger crew already. Who else are we thinking about?

Well, active former members I was thinking about. Celsius, Bikina, White Star, Lightspeed. He is active and only one town over. A swirling mix of dread and contempt wash over home's face.

She had tried to forget completely about Lightspeed and hoped everyone else had as well. Not so lucky. I was hoping we didn't need him. He is a founding member too.

And even if you don't quite like him, he is useful. I say we go for Lightspeed first. He'll be an easy get. Fade to Black.

Part two, 10 years ago. Fade in, exterior, residential neighborhood night. A raging fire engulfs dozens of homes and is still spreading. Firefighters arrive as spray down the flames, attempting to contain the blaze.

Home, younger, and an immorated costume aids the firefighters. She's controlling floating metal orbs, sparking and covered in electricity, spinning them, creating air currents, preventing the fire from spreading. A black and blue blur rushes into burning houses, then back out again, leaving a man in a suit, then back in. Back out, a girl holding a doll, back in.

Sometime later, the firefighters contained. The firefighters are packing things up. Oam shakes hands with the firefighter and turns the walk away. The blue and black blurr zips and stops in front of home.

Hey there, nice work, mostly by me, but you did all right too. Lightspeed, in his early 20s, with an I know I'm great attitude. He is wearing a blue and black outfit, but not likely for long. He looks like the guy who changes his look with the weather.

He is confident in the way he stands and everywhere he says. Most likely too confident. Thanks. Oam tries to walk away, but Lightspeed ships quickly back in front of her, extending his hand.

Name's Lightspeed. I'm pretty new to the city, which is the only reason you haven't heard of me yet. Oh, uh, I am Oam. Oam reluctantly reaches out and shakes Lightspeed's hand.

Nice to meet you all. I like your style. I mean, you're out, Finn. It's flashy.

Really catches the eye. I think my next look will have some of those metal bits on it. Give me kind of a future man feel, you know? They actually help regulate my searches.

Right, right. So how long do the news crews usually take around here? Oh, what do you mean? Lightspeed looks around the streets, finding only firefighters and residents.

Well, the firefighters out, they should be here to get the scoop. Get a few snaps of me, look at heroic, and probe me for a few soundbites and quotes, you know, further the public. Oh, I don't. I would know.

I don't stick around for that stuff. Huh, really. In my old city, the reporters knew to be at the scene fast. They would have likely been on scene as the fire started.

They understood that the hero bit was a man job and I placed it to be. Oam looks around desperately for any way out of this conversation. Any excuse she could make? She sees a news van cresting over a hill in the distance.

Oh, well, it looks like they're pulling up now. You should go let them know all about you. Oh, I will. And hey, since we're both in the same city now, we should look at the joining forces on some cases.

Yeah, that sounds great. Do you have much experience as a psychic? You know what, it doesn't matter. You seem somewhat clever and you'll figure it out.

Uh-huh. I'll catch up with you later on. Lightspeed starts towards the news crew, waving them down. Oam walks the other way, away from the crowds.

Oh, darn. I didn't get your number. Oops. Lightspeed shots from the distance.

Oam continues walking into the darkness, shaking her head. Fade out. Fade in, penthouse apartment, day. Lightspeed in a silk robe holding a large coffee cup, branded with his own image, sits on a stark white lazy boy.

Across from him, rubber-maiden and oam sit on an equally lavish sofa. You want me to what? Join the team again? Essentially, yeah.

You know, getting the band back together, do a reunion to her. Lightspeed leans back in his chair and takes a long sip from his mug. And thanks for a muck. It has been kind of rough and courts are lately.

And my agent said that a change-up would be good for my TV show, an action figure line. So whole Lightspeed doesn't have the drawings he did before. Sounds like a yes to me. Rubber-maiden turns to Oam, a shrug, and her eyes saying, easy, right?

Oam gives back the, I guess, shrug. Well, I don't know. Joining a team may be a good idea, but your team? Our team, Lightspeed.

You helped build this team, and it put you on the map. Rubber-maiden getting a bit more indignant. Even still, sometimes you outgrow a group. I'm not that kid that struggled to get advertisement gigs and soul-my-likeness in bad business decisions.

I have a great agent now, and I'm kind of on my fourth generation of collectible figures. I think associating with you guys may bring all those bad decisions back up. I don't need the public to be reminded of my hard-cave game or the cartoon. I worked very hard to distance myself from all that nonsense.

I don't think diving back in is the best idea. It wasn't us that was embarrassing Lightspeed. Either way, we've all moved forward. It's not a step back.

It's a different thing now. We know now what we didn't know then. We can do the team thing better. Hmm.

Lightspeed rubs his chin while Rubber-maiden waits for him to say something. For someone so fast, he sure does take forever to say what he's going to say. Look, here's the deal. Join the team for a bit.

As a Favor to me. If it doesn't suit you right away, you can bail, and we won't say anything. Just give it a shot for me for old times. He hems and haws for a moment longer.

It's always hard to say no to you, Jules. Is that a yes, then? Uh, it's an... I don't know.

I'm not quite seeing the upside from me yet. What do you want, then? Well, the word on the street is you were single. And?

Well, since you are unattached, I don't think we could grab a bite or something. Rubber-maiden becomes instantly exasperated. Well, I know you've had experience with speedsters. Not as good as me, of course.

Good God, man. Just saying. You want something? And I want something.

Fine. One date. But there was a promise on her face. The promise that the date would be probably an afternoon coffee, and likely last only between 15 and 20 minutes.

Nice. Lice Speed gives the finger guns to home, who rolls her eyes so hard she may have lost them in the back of her head. Fade out. Fade in.

Ten years ago. A slow pan over Court Star City at night. The voiceover of the local news can be heard. A small trail of firearms and charred brick line the streets connecting them multiple sides of the blazes.

It all started in the northeast residential blocks. A fire consumed at number of homes. Two local gates aided in the search and rescue efforts, but firefighters are baffled to the cause of the fires. They continue to work tracking the source, but until they do, the police are suggesting that all of this standside and keep your fire extinguishers nearby.

Cut to internal warehouse night. A man made from molten lava. Let's call him Baron Von Heat, because that's what he calls himself in the following years. He stumbles into the warehouse.

His seat fluctuates intensely. He's burning everything he touches and struggling not to touch much. He grids his teeth in pain and falls to his knees. He flashes white-hot in a moment of lost control, and with great focus is able to bring himself back to the shades of red and yellow.

He struggles to his feet. Stop, bitch. Ratio. A brawler type in a lucha mask and hoodie stands in front of Baron Von Heat, blocking his path.

I can't. Who are you? It doesn't matter who I am. You're sitting fires all over town, burning shit down, causing a lot of problems.

Can't control. Baron grows white-hot. He tries to stifle the heat radiating from his body, but can't control it. His arm glows bright, building attention quickly, then boos.

A large explosion ignites from his side, blowing part of the warehouse out into the night. Ratio tries to dodge the flames. He is tossed to the ground. He rebounds quickly and gains a beat on Baron Von Heat through the flames.

Ratio rushes in, punching Baron Von Heat in the face, burning his hand badly in the process. The Baron intensifies again, glowing bright. Don't punch me, you idiot. Deal.

Ratio emotions his hand, and a swirling portal opens behind the Baron. But it's time for you to take a dip. What? No.

Oh yeah. Portal's bitch. Ratio grabs a loose section of girder, and like Babe Ruth, bats Baron Von Heat through the portal. Cut to, external long shot over the ocean, night.

A portal floats miles above the water. The city is far in the distance, but the reflection of the light stretched out over the surface. From the portal, a bright, glowing man, made of lava and fire. He screams and falls towards the water.

Fade out. Fade in, exterior rooftop day. Rubbermaid and gnome stand on the rooftop looking over the city. Well, we have three now.

That is officially more than a duo. Not a full-fledged team, but better than nothing. Yeah, but that was the easy part. The others are so scattered.

It's a start. We could even be open to new recruits. That's a possibility. What kind of new talent has been around lately?

There have been a few. Mostly these kids that... Home is cut short by an explosion across town. A bright flash and a pillar of smoke in the distance.

Is that the museum again? Damn it. Let's go. Call light speed.

Tell him to meet us down there. Cut to, museum exterior day. Home and Rubbermaid feel up on a motorcycle. Light speed already there, leaning against a lamppost, mid-sandwich.

What are you waiting for, slow-pokes? Didn't take long before we have work to do. There's always work to do. Ugh.

Can you just... Come on, man. Let's save the banter for just a moment, can we? A group of four costume crooks exit the front of the museum.

Stone, an enormous tall and rotund man. Thick beard and bald head. On his shoulder, salamander. A thin, almost reptilian looking woman.

With red hot skin and the ability to crawl on walls. At their sides, comedy and tragedy. A man and woman. Mirring in outfits and each with one of the theater masks.

Different group than hit last time. Light speed, rush of stone. Laning a cheap shot here and there. Stone tries to retaliate but can't lay a hand on.

Gotta have to be faster than that, nitwit. Over here. Over there. Where's it coming from?

Comedy and tragedy jump on home. Laning a few blows here and there before home can get a composure and hit comedy with a fierce blast of lightning. Tragedy jump kicks at home, knocking on our off her feet. And home fires another shot of lightning before tragedy can strike again.

Lightning does strike twice. Rubber maiden stretches her body out. As if it were made of silly bunny. Creating a dome and covering salamander.

Salamander presses her hand against the dome that is Rubber maiden's body and glows white hot. Rubber maiden recoils in pain but turns her fists into a mason swinging a fiercely knocking salamander into a lap post. Light speed runs circles around stone, landing small blows but nothing seems to do any damage. Stone rears up one leg and slams it to the ground.

The concrete cracks and light speed loses his footing and tumbles into a wall. Stone stops towards home, towering over her. Omemun charges of blast electricity from her fingertips directly into his face but no avail. Stone lifts his foot again hovering it over her.

But glowing white and purple aura surround stone as he tries to bring his foot down. He cannot. It's stuck there in place. Hold villains.

Those are my compatriots you have there. I'm going to have to implore you to let them go. A shadow floats over the scene. Sun shines behind them only showing the outline of the figure and they're flowing cape.

White matter? White matter in his late 30s head to toe outfit, mostly white with black accents including the cape. He floats triumphantly like a hero in a 50s tv show. Cut to exterior rooftop day.

With white matters out they were able to make sure order of the crooks. Now they stand in a circle casually chatting. You guys, I didn't know we were getting the band back together. Last time I saw you, you died.

That wasn't dead too long. But by the time I got back, the team was gone. I didn't know you came back. It's so nice to see you.

I knew but only found out a few months ago. Thought about calling you out but you know things got in the way. Yeah I kept it on the hush for a bit. But hey, is the team up situation just temporary or are we really back?

We're trying to be back, just starting to anyway. Nice, count me in. I'm all about this team. I'll go get shift.

He's alive too. Yeah we died together we came back together. It was a whole thing. That.

That's amazing. That is the real deal right there. Now we have a team we're talking about. Lightspeed raises his hand for a high five which white matter gladly gives.

Fade out. Fade in, 10 years ago. Exterior, crowded beach day. The water in the distance bubbles and boils then a pillar of steam.

The pillar of steam moves closer and closer to the shore. Then Baron Von Heaten, which is from the wake. Steam rising from his body. He steps up to the beach turning sand into glass.

The crowd screams and flees as the molten man walks up the beach towards the city. When the Baron is halfway up the beach lightspeed shows up standing in the barons way. Who wants to up hot stuff? Stay away from me.

I would but people didn't come to the beach to get burnt. Well maybe they did but not that kind of burn more like a little sun exposure has to be a thing. Never mind you get. Move.

Baron Von Heaten, a bit more in control of his power now, fires a shot of heat into the ground sending molten sand forward at lightspeed. Lightspeed dashes to avoid it. Baron Von Heaten continues to use a slope and lightspeed to use a dodge. We cannot let you enter the city.

Home charges out of the beach. Metal balls and electricity swirling around there. I dare you to stop me. Home and lightspeed manage to hold Baron Von Heat from gaining any more ground.

I think he may be connected to the unexplained fires. Uh yeah pretty good bet. A portal opens above the mall and ratio falls through smashing to the ground. Land post, one over a shoulder.

I thought I booed you out of my city you fuck. I'm glad you showed up. Now I don't have to hunt you down and melt your face. With the three engaged Baron Von Heat, Baron fires blast after blast of fire and molten sand.

Lightspeed draws the fire. Home shoots lightning from a distant fire. He hits heavy with his light blows. The fight continues to rage.

The Baron weakens. Time goes on. Eventually the Baron runs out of energy and dims. And ratio knocks him out with one last punch.

With Baron Von Heaten the ground, the group stands victorious. Small news crew, early to the scene, runs up to the group. That was an amazing battle! Who are you guys?

Before anyone can talk. Lightspeed ships in front of the group. We are the paragonsons of justice. There's a moment of silence.

Lightspeed waits for the other two to object. But no one does. Fade in, interior, messy apartment, day. A heap of person lays on the couch covered in a blanket.

The door swings open in a fury and white matter still in costume charges into the room. Oh god oh god yes! What the hell is going on? Shift, a man in a black and white outfit and a loochymask jumps from under the blanket.

He looks a great deal like ratio and sounds a lot like him too. But it's different. Somehow. Oh sorry shift.

I didn't see you there. I see you weren't able to make it into the bedroom again. I was lucky to make it home. Shift grabs the beer off the table, shakes it, and realizing its empty tosses it to the ground.

Then tries another. No luck again. Who was it? Baron Von Heat, Pedro, Turkey rocket.

What vile villain did this to you? First stop talking in your stupid ass hero voice. Second it was a villain, I was a biker. Or a robot.

Or a biker. I was kind of drunk at the time. Shift shakes another can. Bingo.

He lifts his mask just enough to pour the meager remains of beer onto his tongue. You were at the bar again. Shift. Really?

Ever since we have come back all you do is drink, get into meaningless fights. So what? All you do is talk about the good old days since coming back. Oh back in my day in the paragons would I beat this threatened no time.

Ugh. I miss Robert Maiden and were it died. I could change in my name as hard so we could be a better team and oh I almost forgot. Great news.

You brought my beer. Tossing the empty can to the floor. No. The paragons of justice are getting back together.

Okay. How are you not excited for this? How are you? It's the paragons of justice.

That's how I'm excited. Shift sinks back into the couch. Have to do you die and come back. It's like a super team isn't all important anymore.

I'll let that comment slide from now shift. Whatever. I haven't told you the best part. I think we're in.

They want us back. No. I know I don't believe it either. No.

No, I'm in no way. I believe it. I mean I'm awesome. And you're whatever the hell you are.

I'm saying no, I'm saying no thank you. Shift. Are you serious? You don't want to go back there and fight to the good fight with our former teammates?

All friends? Shift gets up off of the couch and pulls a dirty trench coat off of the floor. No. No excuse me.

I'm like a beer. Shift moves towards the door but stops suddenly. White matter's eyes glow and white and purple haze around shift head. You're making that stupid puppy dog face aren't you?

Final. Join your fucking team. Really? White matter jumps up and down with excitement.

Man I'll shut up and let me to rank before I change my mind. You're going to see shift. This will be great. The gang's back together and I think they'll need us.

Just as much as we need them. I can't wait for them to actually ask us back formally. White matter pants shift on the back. Wait what?

They haven't even asked us back yet? Not yet but in due time my old gentleman due time. You're starting to freak me out. Go go paragons of awesome justice.

What have I gotten myself into? Shift mumbles to himself as he leaves for his beer run. Fade out. Fade in 10 years ago.

Pan into an underwater city. Fish people swim and populate a large metropolis deep under the ocean. Air bubbles float upwards from their massive structures. Cut to fish city throne room.

Two fish people in ornate outfits stand in front of a throne. Where a fish king sits. The first royal advisers aggressive and angry. Let's clear a sign of aggression from the surface.

And attack on our kingdom. We need to answer this in kind. The second adviser also quite angry. It is concerning.

The fish king looking into the distance contemplating. Concerning my leash. It's an unforgivable sin. For years they dump their waste into our oceans without answer.

And now they actively invade our systems with such intense heat that it killed an entire sector's ecosystem. That's a point in violation. The leaders stay silent for a moment. I understand.

Still we must take action carefully. Rush jumps to action often causes more home food. Perhaps in the short term. We're waiting and slowly killing us all.

We need to figure out both. Now we have to be taken seriously. The leader stands from his throne and slowly walks to the window and overlooks the vast fish person city. Not through force.

Force only begins force. A strike will only be answered in code. There's a better way we will win with hearts and minds. That is how lasting change is enacted.

Their hearts and minds will not be won so easily. Few surfers that we have interacted with have treated us with distrust and skepticism. Then our weapon will be one of their own. It is time we release the champion crystals.

Both of the advisers shocked look at each other then back to the king. You let the champion be chosen by the gems themselves. Let the power go to whatever the tenor red blind walk and the crystals find. The power knows what it wants.

It knows how to chew. Yes chosen before. Not always to our benefit. A pause.

Understandable. But I trust that they will work for the benefit of our people. And for that I don't want to weld. Oh, I'm letting the crystals go.

I'll leave us crippled against a clear aggression. We are already at their mercy. We do not have the strength to win and fight a force. We will release the crystals.

Cut to a secure room deep within the fish kingdom. A royal guard opens in her name jewelry box. Two small glowing blue orbs rise from the box, hover for a moment and sail through the open door. The crystal zip pass fishguards through hallways out windows and pass buildings, through the fish city streets and up through the ocean passing schools of fish, a dolphin, and a whale.

Cut to, exterior beach, dawn. A man looking somewhat dejected stands, shin high in the surf. Black slacks, hyped up and still wearing a white shirt and tie. He stares off into the ocean then squints.

A blue glow appears in the distance. The man takes one step forward and squints harder. The glowing moves, fast towards the shore. The man watches for a moment.

But the glow picks up speed. His interest becomes fear as he turns to run. He sloshes through the water. With all of his might trying to make it to shore.

The glowing gains on him quickly. And as he reaches him, he has pulled into water in an instant. Fade out. Fade in, interior.

The same dusty base as before. The lights flicker on the same and the door opens like it has. This time, shift in white matter enter the meeting hall first. Oh, this place looks like shit.

I can't believe that I'm back here. I shouldn't let you talk me into this. It's not actually all that bad. I think this weekend I'll just throw up a new coat of paint and I have some extra chairs at home I can bring in.

These chairs have our names on them. Ohm follows in behind them. Yeah, he has chairs with our names on them. Simbles too.

Really? Rubber maiden enters next. Yup, that's psycho. I was replicating our meeting room in the garage.

It's like my mind palace. It helps me think. Lightspeed zips through the door and into his chair on the far end of the table. It's a little psycho.

Whatever. Thank you, white matter. I think we can all pitch in to make this place like new. I call the police and the cable company.

We should be linked back into the police grid and internet by weak send. It will be nice to have police communications again. It's hard without any contacts. You haven't been talking to the police?

Lightspeed, the commissioner was a friend of the team. Yeah, yeah, I burned that bridge. Christ, how did you do that? It is important that we repair that relationship, Chum.

Every member of the paragons of justice should have a positive rapport with the authorities. Again, with that damn corny hero voice. Guys, it's not corny. It's how I talk.

It makes citizens know that I'm here for them. It instills confidence. It is not how you talk. It's kind of how he talks.

Not when he's drunk. I get it, white matter. I like to have a persona on costume too. I would like to see your persona out of costume, oh.

Rubbermaidens, fun goes off. A new alert. Guys. I did not miss this.

Sure you did, buddy. This is good for you. I don't see how this is good for anybody. It's good for the city.

It needs our help. Yeah, about that. It sure does comrade. And with the paragons of justice on this case, the city should have no fears all.

The new paragons. What? We were gone for a while. We can't just come back with the same name.

It's rebranding. Like New Coker, Crystal Pepsi. Both Sultrinks and both huge failures. Okay, bad examples.

Guys. Name a good example. Well, I love it, Lightspeed. I'll have to update the forums, the website, and the subreddit.

We have a subreddit. It's a go sound. Not for long. Now that we're back on the street.

Guys, a huge golden robot has taken City Hall hostage. A moment of pause. Then white matter strikes a heroic hands-on hips pose. Let's do this thing.

Ugh, fine. I'm already there. Lightspeed bolts out of the door in a blink of an eye. Lightspeed, no.

Why can't you just wait for us? This is what you want at home. At least it's nice not to be alone anymore. I know what you mean.
