Kanok Boriboonsomsin is a Research Engineer at the University of California, Riverside in the College of Engineering - Center for Environmental Research and Technology. Kanok is part of a group that assessed the readiness of different classes of off-highway equipment to move from internal combustion engines to electric battery packs as their primary energy sources – given the real-world power demands of these vehicles and the state of the art of current battery technologies – and we invited him into our forum to learn more about this research and what it might mean for the future of fluid power-driven and actuated vehicles.
