New Riff Idea
from wokeupinapanic · host wokeupinapanic
I figured I've throw in something I'm currently working on, in case someone wanted to hear how I attack a song. Usually, it starts with a riff like this guitar riff, then I put a simple drum pattern over it. From there, I expound upon the original idea with something either complimentary, or tonally different. I start extrapolating on the drum idea. The bass groove will either present itself in the guitar riff, the drums, or like it did here. Originally, the bass line was going to be a second guitar, but I felt it was too simple. Unfortunately, my nice bass broke, and frustrated me into closing the book on this song for the moment. I will be working on it some more, getting better guitar tone, and making it all sound and feel tighter and more cohesive.
