New secondary school subjects to equip students for the future

What was your favourite school subject? It probably had nothing to do with AI - and likely wasn't something called next-gen manufacturing or applied intelligent systems. Those are just two of the nine new secondary school subjects the government has announced today, They will be part a new qualification replacing the NCEA with the subjects developed with the input of industry The aim? Equip students for the move into work, trades, training or university. Energy and Infrastructure Industry Skills Board chief executive Philip Aldridge spoke to Jesse.
