New Southpaw Project: Fighter's Brew

from Southpaw · host Southpaw

We're announcing a new project from Southpaw: Fighter's Brew. An All-Rounder Meguru recap show.  All-Rounder Meguru is a manga by Hiroki Endo that ran from 2008 to 2016. It's a series that's as much about youth as it is about martial arts and what happens to our passions once we become adults.  Like Southpaw: Deep Space Nine, each episode will be released first on Patreon. We'll release each season in its entirety on the Southpaw public feed as we finish them. So if you're not part of our Patreon, all you need to do is wait, and you'll get all the episodes. If you don't want to wait and want to listen to them early without any breaks for product and Patreon plugs, sign up for our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/southpawpod  We'll also be incorporating Fighter's Brew into our Liberation Martial Arts curriculum. Patrons who are part of the Liberation Martial Arts program or in a higher tier will get transcripts of each episode with more explanations of the techniques and concepts, along with commentary from the LMA perspective. Pictures from the manga will also be incorporated as illustrations: https://www.patreon.com/posts/liberation-arts-72505630  So if you like Southpaw, if you like martial arts, if you like manga, please check out and support Fighter's Brew.  We can't continue to produce important episodes like this one without your solidarity. There is no Southpaw network without your financial support. In return, not only do you help produce our shows but you also get access to more great content. It's mutual aid. Find our Patreon, swag, and other ways to support us at: https://www.southpawpod.com  You can find Southpaw on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram: @SouthpawPod

Fall Children Benjamin Blake FALL CHILDREN: Twelve years ago, Mark Jackson was a teenager starting a new high school, in a new town, holding little hope of making new friends. To his surprise, he found some. Though, more accurately, they found him. Soon, Mark finds himself under the wing of the charismatic James, loyal Carl, and beautiful Heather – who seems to have taken quite a shine to him. They are more than he could have ever hoped for. So what if they dabbled in a little black magic on the side? He was happy, how bad could it really be? How wrong he was. Now in his 20’s, Mark is attending regular talk-therapy sessions with a renowned psychologist. Through these, his story unfolds towards its cataclysmic conclusion. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Benjamin Blake was born in the July of 1985, and grew up in the small town of Eltham, New Zealand. We do it Brooklyn style: great dance music mixed well, affordable drinks, and real people; no dress code, no bottle service, no VIPs and no celebrity DJs. The combination of great music, a hot and sweaty dance floor, and phenomenal word-of-mouth buzz for the party brought the people there. The unparalleled mix of hip hop, disco, 80s, reggae, funk, house and everything in between keeps them coming back. In addition, the three DJs have been releasing mixtapes at a breakneck pace, traveling to gigs around the world, and put out six official Rub CDs and 11 records. Over the last few years, The Rub boys have DJed in over 50 cities in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia and everywhere in between alongside Public Enemy, Chemical Brothers, Justice, Slick Rick, Diplo, Mark Ronson, Moby, A-Trak, DJ Premier, Blonde Redhead, M Explicit
