New state designation could slow Spurs arena development

This week On The Record with Randy Beamer, we talk about the arboretum that will be going in on the city’s Southeast side.  Arboretum founder Henry Cisneros details the progress being made on the project. Next, a new designation for the embattled Institute of Texas Cultures building as a state antiquities landmark means UTSA can’t demolish it as soon as planned.  Betty Bueche, board member of the SA Conservation Society, tells Randy what this means and why her group is now hopeful the building can be saved.
