We explore works from various fields that we consider to be seminal. This week our three hosts, Keith Vincent, John Holt, and Mary Varn are joined by Adam Moerder. Segment 1: Magic the Gathering (Card Game)  John Holt (@lordjoho) recommends a game that created its own genre of gaming, the "collectible card game." A product of the early 1990's, Magic the Gathering got a toe-hold in a time when traditional board gaming was taking a back seat to console video games. Celebrating 20yrs of being in existence this year (2013), Magic has persisted and is gaining in popularity.   You can find out more about this game at  wizards.com  or at a friendly local game store (if you're in NYC I recommend the Twenty Sided Store).
