The series debuted a decade before Game of Thrones. The books follow a group of mercenaries as they try to survive in a war where they have been hired by the 'evil' side. The first in this series was Author Glen Cook's first published book. You can purchase the Black Company on Amazon or your local bookstore. The audiobook is pretty good too.
