New TOPPS Deal Threaten Panini SPORTS CARD Monopoly?

The year started with PSA as the star in the news, and now we are apparently transitioning to Topps as the star of the next quarter. Topps just announced they are getting back into the public trading game, and what a shake-up that could bring to the hobby and sports card market. Topps is synonymous with baseball cards, owning the Bowman brand for quite a few years.  However, Topps is also known for making the most iconic basketball cards of all time, the Topps Chrome rookie cards of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.With this new found investment, will Topps be able to secure the licensing rights to make basketball and football sports cards?  Currently, Panini holds the exclusive rights to those sports.  Sports card collectors and investors would love to see that happen, but will it?Like all the major news these days, we have even more questions to answer and new plans of action to consider.
