Nesbit Narrator: Teresa Gallagher Format: Abridged Length: 03:30:00 Release date: 10-09-09 Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 4 votes Genres: K-12 Publisher's Summary: This is the third in Edith Nesbit's ever-popular 'Treasure Seekers' series, after The Treasure Seekers and The Wouldbegoods. This classic children's tale brings back the much-loved characters of Dora, Oswald, Dicky, Alice, Noel and H.O. Bastable as they stumble into yet more comic adventures. Teresa Gallagher read the previous two books in this highly praised series and returns to recount more japes in her colourful array of children's voices. Editorial Reviews: Narrator Teresa Gallagher has an amazing ability to differentiate the voices of a wide-range of children by age. Theyre not just a bevy of kids. When she dramatically describes a family wedding, it's from the viewpoint of youngsters who see the 26-year-old bride as old. Equally entertaining is hearing the lengths the kids go to to make a real Christmas pudding after their father tells them that he directed the cook to make a plain one. When they use soap to clean the raisins, listeners can almost taste the soapy, raisin-studded cake.
