New ways to cheat the system

from Happening Now With Hammer · host happeningnow

After the COVID pandemic, and schools being online, kids these days have found creative ways to cheat on homework and tests. To the extent that websites now exist that can be given a basic prompt, "Tell me the premise and theories about the book Animal Farm" and an AI system will auto-generate an entire essay on the topic without the teens having to lift a finger off their phones. Gone are the days of reading about a topic, forming your own opinions, and expressing those opinions yourself. Now a computer literally will do it for you! Is this cheating? Is it fair? Is it just glorified CliffsNotes? Can you commit plagiarism from an AI? Will this raise an entire generation to regurgitate well formed opinions online, while not being able to hold a conversation in person? Tell us what you think in the comments.
