New Wolverine Series Completes Trilogy Revealing His Origin

Marvel Comics has announced Wolverine: Origin III – The Dark Age, a five-issue miniseries scheduled for release in late 2026. Original writer Paul Jenkins returns to conclude the character's definitive backstory by focusing on a previously hidden era in the 1950s. This new chapter finds Logan attempting to lead a peaceful life after the trauma of two World Wars, only to face a tragic psychological descent toward the Weapon X program. The narrative aims to bridge the gap between his early years as James Howlett and his transformation into the modern superhero. By exploring themes of unreliable memory and human connection, the series promises to provide unexpected answers regarding the mutant's identity. Ultimately, this installment completes a twenty-five-year trilogy designed to explain how a war-weary veteran was broken into a living weapon. This episode includes AI-generated content.
