New Year 2026: Let Us All Be Stars Pointing to Jesus

What happens when the Church receives good news but remains silent? In this message, we introduce the theme of the year: “Let Us All Be Stars Pointing to Jesus.” After years of building on the Rock, cultivating stillness, and learning to run to Christ, the Church is now called outward into mission. Rooted in 2 Kings 6–7, this sermon centers on four rejected lepers who stumble upon salvation and realize they cannot keep it to themselves. Their words confront every generation of believers: “This is a day of good news, and we remain silent.” (2 Kings 7:9) Through Scripture, lived experience, and the sobering story of the Life-Saving Station, we are reminded that the Church does not exist for comfort, preservation, or performance. We are called to be a hospital for the wounded, a city on a hill, and stars that point others to Christ. Mission is not about being louder than the world. Mission is about being truer. This year is a call for all of us to live lives so healed, so authentic, and so Christ-centered that the good news cannot stay private.
