NEW YEAR RENEWAL PT 2: YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUIT (WITH JB HIXSON) | 12.29.24

Hello Friends. As we prepare to enter into the New Year, I want to play Part 2 of the interview that I did for JB Hixson’s podcast last week. I played Part 1 for Saturday’s show. You can go to JB’s Platform for more podcasts, teachings, and resources at: https://notbyworks.org/   JB Hixson is the Bible and Prophecy teacher we had on the show 2 weeks ago, and we had such a good time, he invited me on his.   And so in a minute, we’ll play PART 2 of our discussion on JB’s podcast.   As we Start this New Year, I always recommend setting the foundation for a greater walk with God by beginning the year reading the NT. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in the Word, and just keep going. Maybe a chapter a day in the morning to set our hearts and minds on the Things of God to start each day.   We are called to do good works that Glorify our Father and lead people to Him and to be ready to give an answer for the hope in JESUS alone.   We are to be His ambassadors to the world, and to be IN THE WORLD but avoid the ENTANGLEMENTS in worldly things.   Serving God doesn’t just come with benefits, it comes at a cost, which is our reasonable service. It shows our TRUST in Him, and we HONOR Him by making SACRIFICES in our lives to honor and FOLLOW Him.   As King David said in 2 Sam 24:24, he would not make an offering to The Lord THAT DID NOT COST HIM.   How can it be an offering, then?   And we see many heroes of the Bible were just REGULAR, FLAWED HUMANS, who were called by God to sacrifice something, and to trust Him, as the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.   We can ALL live our ORDINARY LIFE, but FOR HIM. There is great reward.   So START THIS YEAR, BY BEING BRAVE. Ask God to use you. Ask Him HOW He would like to use you--He will begin to show you.   Offer yourself as a living sacrifice...   Seek first the Kingdom of God, and God's work for you, and all you need will be added to you.   He knows about our obligations--they are all GIFTS FROM HIM. So be open to TAKE CARE OF His business, and He will take care of yours.   There is great reward in trusting Him and fulfilling your calling--big or small.   We see in the Parable of stewards: Jesus gives each of them according to their diverse abilities. But THE POINT of that parable was the unjust steward who HID AWAY what God gave him and produced no fruit for the kingdom.   Trust Him. He knows you. Open you heart to the leading of the Holy Spirit in your everyday life.
