from Christ Community Church of Pembroke Pines · host Christ Community Church

New Year’s, 2025: “Soul Care is Discipleship”                                               Hebrews 10:24-25 Life Together (vv.24-25 a-b) - Call to Hospitality 1 Pet. 4:7,9 “The end of all things is at hand… Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.” Because that’s what church life together should look like. Ro. 12:13 “Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.”  Care for One Another (v.25 c-d) Gal. 6:1-2 1 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.    1 Thess. 5:14  “we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted (depressed), help the weak, be patient with them all.” 2 Tim. 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God[b] may be complete, equipped for every good work. 5 Things They never say…. -           They never mention God  - especially Jesus and the HS, the comforter. -           They never mention our spiritual condition (sin). -           They never mention that suffering is meaningful within God’s plan of mercy and judgment. -           They never mention that God really does forgive sinners who repent and believe in his Son. Never mention the good news. -           They never mention that all human beings are meant to become worshippers of God in Christ and be reconciled to God. What do we say then? Ro. 15:14 I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another. Col. 3:13, .. bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.16 a-b Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom..  2 Cor. 1:3-4 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. Final scripture on this… Ja. 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
