New years special: The Gamechanger of Crohn's Disease - With Katie

It Marks a new year which means this is a New years special! Happy New year everyone! Today I am joined with the wonderful Katie! who was was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in the summertime of 2022. Katie talks about her journey and about being immunocompromised.  Katie had researched about Crohn's Disease before her diagnosis, so she knew what to possibly expect, she was refused at her hospital 3 times we talk about this in more depth in this episode. Katie is in a much better place than she was as it took several months to get diagnosed, even though symptoms of Crohn's started before her diagnosis. Katie talks about what symptoms she had leading up to diagnosis in the pain in the stomach was not one of them which made it harder to get a diagnosis, but she had a lot of other symptoms that comes along with Crohn's Disease.  We also share what food we can't eat and we also mention it's important to raise awareness becasue if you think back to before any of us had Crohn's we didn't know what it was really so we don't expect people to understand this new life we endure  This is Katie's first ever podcast and she aced it!
