New York Beach Forecast Sunday September 28 Calm 2 Foot Waves Mid 70s Perfect Conditions

from Montauk Surf Report for Montauk New York · host Inception Point Ai

Good morning! This is your New York area surf zone forecast for Sunday, September 28th, brought to you by the National Weather Service.Well folks, it's a beautiful day ahead for our beaches, and we're talking calm, gentle conditions across the board. All five forecast zones are reporting the same story: low rip current risk and surf heights around two feet. So whether you're hitting up Coney Island, Rockaway Beach, Jones Beach, or heading all the way out to the East End, you're looking at some pretty mellow water today.Let's talk temperatures. The surf itself is sitting in the upper 60s to lower 70s depending on where you are, with the warmest water down in Brooklyn and Queens, and things cooling down as you head east toward the Hamptons. Air temperatures will max out in the mid to upper 70s, so it's going to be pleasant without being scorching.Weather-wise, we're looking at a transition from partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies throughout the morning and early afternoon. Brooklyn will clear out first around 9 AM, while some areas further east might hold onto some clouds until around 1 PM. Once that sun breaks through though, you're golden. No thunderstorm potential today, so you can plan your beach day with confidence.Wind is going to be light and variable, starting out of the southeast in the morning before shifting more southerly and southwestern in the afternoon. We're talking around five miles per hour here, so conditions are going to stay quite peaceful all day long.High tide is hitting around midday across all zones, roughly between 12 and 12:40 PM depending on your specific location. Whether you're watching the sunset from Coney Island at 6:45 PM or from the Hamptons at 6:37 PM, you've got plenty of daylight to work with.UV index is moderate, so don't skip the sunscreen just because we're heading into late September. Those rays are still getting through. One important note: this marks the final forecast of the season for our New York beaches. While rip current risk is low today, remember that life-threatening rip currents can always occur near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers. If you're entering the water, stay near a lifeguard and keep a flotation device handy. If you do get caught in a rip, stay calm, float, and don't fight the current. Swim parallel to the shore if you can.So there you have it. Perfect conditions to wrap up September at your favorite New York beaches. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
