from Montauk Surf Report for Montauk New York · host Inception Point AI

Good morning! Welcome to your New York surf zone forecast for Sunday, September 28th. Let's dive right in because we've got some beautiful beach weather coming your way. Across all five zones, we're looking at consistent small surf around two feet with light winds that'll keep things clean and manageable. The rip current risk is low everywhere, so you can feel confident heading into the water, though remember to always keep an eye out around those groins, jetties, and piers where stronger currents can still develop. Starting in Brooklyn with Coney Island and Manhattan Beach, expect mostly cloudy skies until about nine in the morning, then it clears out to sunny. High temperatures climbing to the upper seventies with light south winds around five miles per hour. Sunrise is at six forty-eight, sunset at six forty-five. High tide at Coney Island comes in at twelve thirty-nine PM. Over in Southern Queens covering Jacob Riis Park and Rockaway Beach, you're looking at partly sunny conditions until noon, then sunny for the afternoon. It'll be a touch cooler with highs in the mid-seventies. Southeast winds around five shifting south in the afternoon. You'll have a low tide at East Rockaway Inlet early at six-oh-six AM, then high tide at twelve thirty-six PM. Down in Southern Nassau at Atlantic Beach, Long Beach, Lido Beach, and Jones Beach, partly sunny until one PM transitioning to sunny. Again, mid-seventies for the high with southeast winds becoming southwest. High tide at Jones Inlet occurs at twelve twenty-three PM. The water temperature here is in the lower seventies, which is pretty pleasant for late September. Moving further east to Southwestern Suffolk at Gilgo and Robert Moses, mostly cloudy until noon then sunny skies take over. Mid-seventies again with light east winds becoming southwest in the afternoon. Water temperatures hovering right around seventy degrees. Fire Island Inlet hits high tide at twelve-oh-four PM. Finally, out in Southeastern Suffolk covering Smith Point, Cupsogue, Hither Hills, and Ditch Plains, mostly cloudy until one PM before clearing to sunny. Highs in the mid-seventies with southeast winds shifting southwest. Water temperatures here are slightly cooler in the upper sixties. Shinnecock Inlet high tide comes at twelve thirty-one PM. The UV index is moderate across the board, so sunscreen is definitely your friend today. There's zero thunderstorm potential, making this a very safe and stable beach day. All five zones are reporting this as the final forecast of the season, so if you're thinking about getting out there, today looks like an excellent choice. Light winds, calm seas, sunny skies, and manageable temperatures make for a perfect end-of-September beach day. Get out there and enjoy it! The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
