New York City’s Flying Taxis

from News For Kids · host ICRT

New York City’s Flying Taxis Nobody likes sitting in traffic! Cars, buses, and trucks move very slowly. They make lots of bad smells, dirty air, and noise! People get angry. They honk their horns. How can we get away from all that slow, stinky, noisy traffic? There's great news! New taxis are coming to New York City. They’re electric, so they don’t make bad smells or dirty air. And they never sit in traffic… Why? Because these taxis can fly! Electric air taxis look like very big drones with car seats! They fly with six small propellers.* *These make flying easier. Electric air taxis can fly in all directions. They can go up and down, left and right,to the front and to the back! Electric air taxis can carry a pilot and four passengers. These air taxis are fast. They take seven minutes to fly from the airport to the middle of the city. That's much, much faster than driving! Do you want to fly an electric air taxi in New York City one day? It will be love at first flight!
