New York Surf Forecast Sunday September 28 Two Foot Waves Low Rip Current Risk Sunny Skies

from Montauk Surf Report for Montauk New York · host Inception Point AI

Good morning! Here's your New York surf zone forecast for Sunday, September 28th. Across all five zones from Brooklyn down to the East End of Long Island, we're looking at a pretty consistent picture. Surf heights will be running around two feet throughout the day, so if you're heading out, don't expect anything dramatic in the water. Rip current risk is low across the board, which is great news for swimmers and surfers. That said, always remember that life-threatening rip currents can pop up near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers without warning. If you do get caught in one, stay calm, float, and swim parallel to shore rather than fighting the current. Weather-wise, we're looking at improving conditions as the day progresses. Most zones will start mostly cloudy or partly sunny through mid-morning or early afternoon, then clear out to sunny skies. Southern Queens and Southern Nassau will have partly sunny conditions until noon and one PM respectively, while the eastern zones hold onto some clouds a bit longer. Temperatures will top out in the mid to upper seventies depending on your location, with Brooklyn running slightly warmer in the upper seventies. Winds will be light and variable, starting from the east or southeast around five miles per hour and shifting to the south or southwest as the day goes on. Perfect beach day setup. Water temperatures are in the lower seventies for most areas, cooling down to around seventy at Southwestern Suffolk and the upper sixties out at the East End. One more thing to note: this is the final surf zone forecast of the year, so enjoy those beaches while you can. Sunrise is right around six forty to six forty eight depending on your location, and sunset comes around six thirty seven to six forty five. Stay safe out there! The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
