Newark: A Public Service Announcement

Newark, also known as “Brick City” is the most populous city in the U.S state of New Jersey and the seat of Essex County. Although holding the title as one of the nation's major air, shipping, and rail hubs; the city holds a bad reputation by some residents of over 282,090 and many other surrounding states. In this episode we speak with LaMonica McIver about the steps taken to bring Newark’s reputation back. . . @LamonicaMcIver was elected in 2018, and has already made history as the youngest woman and a council member to serve on Newark’s Municipal Council. When LaMonica isn’t working as a dedicated public servant, she is educating her daughter and her community (Central Ward) where she was born and raised. .
