Diabetic girls “skip jabs to stay slim” 4th July 2007 Thousands of teenage girls may be skipping insulin injections in the hope it will make them thin. Diabetes UK estimates that up to one in three diabetic women under 30 in the UK are missing injections to help them lose weight. That would equate to up to 5,000 women under 30, of which up to 3,000 are teenage girls.
