All eight people aboard a charter aircraft that went down near a remote Western Alaska radar site on Thursday were killed following a second landing attempt in thick fog and low visibility, federal investigators announced Friday. An Anchorage police officer whose patrol car struck a taxicab in midtown Anchorage in early August, killing two people, did not have the green light when he entered the intersection and was going above the speed limit, according to APD Chief Sean Case. Police have identified the woman fatally shot by an Anchorage officer Tuesday as 53-year-old Lora Brady, following a lengthy standoff at a downtown residential building.
