A pilot with a ‘suspended’ commercial and medical certificate was killed last month when his plane crashed in mountainous terrain southeast of Cordova. Two people were killed Wednesday morning in a crash at Potter Marsh along the Seward Highway that resulted in three vehicles in the water, closing the heavily-traveled roadway for hours. A three-day, multi-agency crime suppression sweep in Anchorage led to 127 arrests, the recovery of six stolen vehicles, and the seizure of 11 guns, according to Anchorage police.
