U.S Education Secretary Linda McMahon visited Alaska Thursday, making stops at two Matanuska Valley schools during a 24-hour stay. Days after vetoing a bipartisan elections overhaul, Gov. Mike Dunleavy, R-Alaska, introduced his own version — one that looks a lot like the bill he just vetoed, with several key differences in the ballot curing process.
