Two members of a three-person crew aboard a boat that went missing near St. Lawrence Island have died, while a third survived, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The three Anchorage police officers who fired their guns along a major city roadway this spring, killing a man who allegedly pointed his gun at them, were cleared Tuesday by the state.   The Alaska Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments Wednesday in a high-stakes civil lawsuit that could dramatically alter how much legal protection municipal police departments receive when accused of negligence.
