Mayor blames vaccine shortage for likely local lockdown The Mayor of Antibes, Jean Leonetti, has criticised the decision to lock down the most populous parts of the Alpes-Maritimes department for the next two weekends – a decision that he said has already been taken but not yet announced... Monaco has inoculated 21% of population By the end of Thursday, February 18, 20.59 percent of the population of the Principality had received their first coronavirus jab, a total of 7,825 individuals. In addition, 60.75 percent of those had also received their second dose. Monaco issues appeal for caution The Monaco Government issued an appeal late on Thursday for Monegasques and residents to behave with caution and responsibility during the two-week winter school holidays that started on Friday, February 19. (Originally sent as a News Update on February 20) Eight new cases, five recoveries on Sunday Eight Monaco residents tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday, while five residents were declared to be fully recovered.
