This week's episode of Newtype Rhythms comes with a monumental mix from https://soundcloud.com/triprecordings duo https://soundcloud.com/ptu-1 - - a male & female tandem that derives its influence somewhere between a cacophony of genre influences and a set of Elektron Octaracks. The duo have been making waves lately, ever since they popped on the label's sixth release entitled: "трип шестой: "когда мне было 14 лет, мой отец был так глуп, что я с трудом переносил его. когда мне исполнился двадцать один, я был изумлён, как старик поумнел за эти семь лет!" -- or shortened TRP 006: When I was 14... -- the duo once again had an appearance on Fabric 91, mixed by label-head https://soundcloud.com/nina-kraviz. The track on the mix was a preview for their debut EP on the label, entitled "A Broken Clock Is Right Twice A Day" which will be released on April 7th. To commemorate the occasion of their stellar EP, Newtype Rhythms asked the duo to make a mix that was reflective of their current mindset and tastes, as well as a few friends that they think are bound to make an impact (keep an eye out for HMOT and Charlotte Rødbergen)-- and their mix fulfilled all that and beyond.
