Erik started his journey in aviation at the collegiate level, earning two degrees in Aviation Technology while training through Army ROTC with a clear goal—becoming an aviation leader. In just a few short years, he became a Certified Flight Instructor, was commissioned as a U.S. Army Aviation Officer, and completed a master’s in Human Resources Development. He went on to serve 12 years in the military, flying medevac helicopters, commanding an air traffic control company, and piloting VIP fixed-wing aircraft—roles that demand precision, discipline, and accountability. Today, he brings that same standard to everything he does—as an airline pilot, business owner of Bumblechutes, and dedicated husband and father.
